Wolvesey Lodge No. 6818 · Winchester
The history of Wolvesey Lodge
Wolvesey Lodge received its warrant on 2 February 1949 and was consecrated at Winchester Guildhall on 9 June 1949.
The Lodge takes its name from historic Wolvesey Palace and has remained closely connected with Winchester through more than seven decades of Masonic life.
Its distinctive badge features Sagittarius between the square and compasses, enclosed by a laurel wreath with a five-pointed star beneath, an identity that has represented Wolvesey for generations.
From its early meetings and rapid growth to the present day, the Lodge continues its tradition of friendship, ritual, visiting, charity and service within Freemasonry in Winchester.
