Wolvesey Lodge No. 6818 · Winchester

Freemasonry in Winchester

Freemasonry is centred on friendship, integrity, respect and service, with traditions that encourage personal development, charitable activity and fellowship.

Wolvesey Lodge has been part of Freemasonry in Winchester since 1949 and provides a local route for men who want to understand Freemasonry, meet local Freemasons and ask questions.

Wolvesey meets at Chilcomb Down House, the Winchester Masonic Centre, alongside other Craft Lodges in the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Province. The Lodge welcomes enquiries from men who live, work or study around Winchester and would like to learn more.

The three Craft degrees use allegory and symbolism to explore character, responsibility and relationships with other people. The Royal Arch continues that journey as the fourth and final stage of Pure Antient Masonry.
